Active Citizens Fund

The Active Citizens Fund Romania program is funded from EEA Grants 2014 – 2021. The overall purpose of these Grants is to reduce the economic and social gaps and strengthen the bilateral relationship between the 15 beneficiary states and the donor states (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway).

The program is managed by a consortium comprising the Civil Society Development Foundation, the Foundation for Partnership, the Resource Center for Roma communities, PACT Foundation and Frivilighet Norge, acting as the Fund Operator appointed by FMO – Financial Mechanism Office of EEA and Norway Grants.

Active Citizens Fund Romania is focused on strengthening civil society and active citizenship and empowering vulnerable groups. With a total amount of 46,000,000 Eur allocated, this program aims at ensuring the long-term sustainability and at increasing the capabilities of the civil society sector, thus growing its role in promoting democratic participation, active citizenship and human rights, while strengthening the bilateral relationship with donor states Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.  For additional information about the Active Citizens Fund in Romania, please access www.activecitizensfund.ro For additional information about the EEA and Norway Grants, please access www.eeagrants.ro
