Legal and civic education and training sessions with students
Save the Children Organization, in partnership with the General Direction of Social Assistance and Child Protection District 6, through Active Citizen Fund-Romania programme, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021, runs the project „Inter-agency cooperation and advocacy for the protection of child victims of sexual abuse and violence”.
We are pleased to announce you that we have successfully completed our legal and civic education and training sessions in the country. We had the opportunity to work with 15 schools in Bucharest, 5 schools in Iași and 5 schools in Timișoara, where we discussed about human rights, equal treatment and combating abuse. We were happy to see the interest and involvement of students and teachers in these important issues for our society.
We looked at real situations where human rights have been violated or respected, how we can recognize and prevent discrimination and abuse and what legal solutions exist to combat them.
